Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By subscribing to or using Peech, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What Peech provides

Peech is a browser extension that uses on-device optical character recognition (OCR) and text-to-speech (TTS) to read text from images aloud. All image processing occurs locally on your device. No image data is transmitted to our servers.

3. Subscription and billing

Peech is offered as a paid subscription (monthly or annual). Subscriptions are billed in advance and automatically renew unless cancelled. Payments are processed by Paddle, our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. By purchasing, you agree to Paddle's terms of service.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to Peech until then.

5. Acceptable use

You may use Peech for lawful personal or educational purposes. You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, or resell the extension or its components.

6. Limitation of liability

Peech is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Peech after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
